In the industrial bandsaw space, it is incredibly important to properly reference blade cutting measurements by using the correct bandsaw nomenclature. When referring to cut-to-length and welded blades, please use the following bandsaw terminology:

The description of a bandsaw blade description has 4 parts:

  • Size
  • Tooth count
  • Tooth type
  • Length

The 4 parts of the description are spaced with "-" marks

Number of teeth per inch or other blade style

  • NT (No Teeth)

Length

Expressed in inches and decimal inches

  • 145 - 12’ 1”
  • 236.5 - 19’8-1/2”
